RFK Jr. fires every expert on CDC committee that approves vaccines

Written by Diane Archer

Concern is deepening about RFK Jr.’s acts to mislead Americans about vaccine safety. Last week, RFK Jr. fired the entire panel of 17 medical and scientific experts who serve as members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), These experts are charged with making evidence-based recommendations as to which vaccines should be given, to whom and how frequently. RFK Jr. is replacing these experts with people who have little expertise and do not support vaccines.

After passing an emergency resolution, the American Medical Association asked the Senate HELP committee to investigate the firings of ACIP members.

In a letter to the chairman of the HELP committee, Senator Bill Cassidy, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), the minority head of the HELP committee asked for an investigation into these firings. Senator Cassidy has expressed a concern that the new ACIP members will be suspicious of vaccines, yet know nothing about them.

The eight new ACIP members might not recommend people get certain life-saving vaccines. A few have been involved in lawsuits that questioned the safety and efficacy of vaccines. If these new members do not support certain vaccines, insurers likely would stop covering them. And, it will be harder for Americans to access safe and effective vaccines. Time will tell the consequences for our health and well-being.
